[0:07] Did you know that as much as we fear and resist change we also need it and even crave it when life becomes too stagnant?
[0:26] Hi, Biggi Fraley here, your host, and welcome to the show!
[0:31] Now, the late Walt Disney once said: “Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future.”
With that in mind let me tell you a story.
You see, I love content creation, and over the past three years now I’ve been busy creating videos, blog posts, social media posts,
challenges, reports, courses, coaching programs, podcasts, newsletters, webinars, live streams, giveaways, and more.
Yet, surprise, surprise, all this work has not created a loyal engaged following,
or added to my bottom line, So we seriously have to question the idea that when you do what you love the money will follow. Don’t we?
[1:26] Something else that makes me sad is that all this content creation kind of kept me from creating my own content.
You see, my weekly journaling habit, that I had cultivated for many years, came to a screeching halt.
And, I really, really miss it. Now like any good coach, I have my own coach, as well as many mentors.
[1:52] And, my coach finally said, enough is enough! I have to stop any activities that don’t directly contribute to my income.
Ouch! So, I had to really rethink what I’m doing here, and as much as I love content creation,
it is not the best use of my time and energy at this stage in my business.
What’s interesting too is that all this content I mentioned is basically a one-way communication vehicle.
But, what I really want is to talk with you. That’s why, going forward,
I will dedicate 50% of my time and energy towards building a community in the form of a Facebook group.
Now, the group is called The Highly Effective Entrepreneur,
and while the party hasn’t yet started over there, I would love to invite you nevertheless. If you’d like to exchange ideas and mingle with other successful entrepreneurs on their way to greatness.
You can find us at https://biggifraley.com/group.
[3:06] Now, the other 50% of my time I will not be working on my strength,
as it’s so often taught, but rather on a weakness, which is copywriting.
I find that copywriting is one of the most powerful skills anyone can have these days and I’ve actually had this belief for a long time.
I’ve not been a writer all my life and to become good at copywriting, I will have to put in a lot of effort and hard work.
It will be painful! So, naturally my subconscious has helped me avoid this for long time now.
[3:50] You see, I really believe that I do have a lot to offer to this world and have the power and obligation to help many entrepreneurs make the impact they are meant to make in this world.
However, I won’t be able to do that unless I can effectively communicate how I can help you and why I’m the one you should listen to,
right? So, part of why I’m telling you all this is because I want you to rethink your business activities as well.
Are you spending a lot of time on tasks that don’t contribute to your bottom line? Are you better off outsourcing them or quitting them all together?
What have you been avoiding or procrastinating on that you know will have a huge impact on your business when you finally do it?
[4:40] Are you headed in the right direction or have you taken a wrong turn somewhere along the road?
Are you still headed towards achieving your financial goals and making the impact you wanted to make in this world when you first set out?
[4:57] Okay, so what I’ve been trying to tell you is that there will no longer be new episodes of this podcast for quite some time.
Which is a kind of ending,
and it’s also a new beginning in a hopefully a lot more interactive style in the Facebook group.
So once more at like to invite you to meet me on Facebook at https://biggifraley.com/group.
Also, I will continue sending my biweekly newsletter, so if that’s your preferred way of staying in touch please subscribe at https://biggifraley.com/insider,
if you haven’t yet. And you know it has been a pleasure to speak with you here and serve you.
And, I will truly miss you, and miss creating this type of content not to mention the fantastic system I’ve actually created for this process. I mean, it is perfected at this point.
So, thank you so much for joining me! I hope you’ll choose to stay in touch. Until then, take care, and bye-bye.
